OMB Bank is pleased to announce that Chief of Staff Jessica Sims and Chief Risk Officer Michelle Sullivan were both recently promoted to executive vice president roles and have joined the bank’s now 7-member executive team.
Sims has two decades of industry experience, beginning her career in 2004 as a teller with Bank of America. She joined Liberty Bank in 2007 as a teller and earned promotions to personal banker, assistant manager and branch manager, also serving in the same branch manager role for Simmons Bank following its Liberty Bank acquisition in 2015. Sims came to OMB Bank in 2016 as branch manager for the bank’s 3570 S. National flagship location in Springfield. She served as interim retail banking operations officer in 2019 and was promoted to business banking officer in 2020. In 2022 she was named senior vice president and director of strategic initiatives and, in 2024, was promoted to SVP and chief of staff.
Sullivan joined OMB earlier in 2025 as senior vice president and chief risk officer. She also has more than 20 years of banking and compliance experience including 12 years with Kansas City-based UMB Bank, ultimately serving as senior vice president and director of corporate risk operations from 2013-2017. Before joining OMB, she was most recently head of banking compliance and risk management for Dama Financial, a role she held for seven years.
“Jessica and Michelle exemplify the kind of leadership that moves OMB forward—not just in their professional expertise, but in the way they inspire others,” said Mark Harrington, president and CEO. “Their promotions reflect both the depth of talent within our organization and our continued focus on building a strong, future-ready executive team.”
Sims and Sullivan join Harrington on OMB’s executive team along with Chief Financial Officer Jeff Palmer, Chief Lending Officer John Maupin, Chief Operations Officer Joey Orr and Chief Credit Officer Cody Hansen.
