Wayne Wilson Joins OMB Bank’s Commercial Lending Team in Carthage

A seasoned community banker with deep roots in the Carthage and Joplin markets, Wayne Wilson is now serving local businesses as part of OMB Bank’s commercial lending team.

OMB Bank is pleased to announce that Wayne Wilson has joined the bank as vice president and loan officer, serving clients at its 535 W. Fir Rd. location in Carthage, Mo.

Wilson brings more than 25 years of commercial banking experience across Southwest Missouri, with a long track record of serving business owners and community leaders in the Carthage and Joplin markets.

Most recently, Wilson served as senior vice president and market leader for Cadence Bank in Joplin, where he led market strategy and worked closely with commercial clients to support growth and long-term financial planning. Prior to that, he spent more than seven years with Simmons Bank, including roles as senior vice president and community president for the Joplin market and senior vice president and community banker in Carthage.

Wilson also previously served as vice president and commercial lender at Liberty Bank and spent more than 14 years as vice president and lender at Southwest Missouri Bank. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for responsive service, thoughtful credit solutions and strong community involvement.

In his role at OMB, Wilson will focus on commercial lending and relationship management, helping businesses access the capital and financial guidance they need to grow and succeed.
