OMB is proud to announce that Sophie Pierpoint has joined the bank as vice president and business development officer.
Pierpoint has nearly 20 years of fundraising and development experience. She began her career in 2004 as assistant director of athletics development for Missouri State University in Springfield. She was promoted to director of athletics relations and fundraising at MSU in 2010. In 2011 she joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks as chief development officer before, most recently, rejoining MSU in 2013 as director of development.
“Sophie has a proven track record of success when it comes to prospecting and development,” Chief Operating Officer Steve Bishop said. “Her ability to forge meaningful relationships and communicate effectively with key stakeholders are true assets. We’re very excited to realize the impact we know she’ll make on OMB and our customers.”
Pierpoint holds a Master of Science degree in Health Promotion and Wellness Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology, both from Missouri State University. She is very active in the community, serving on the Waynesville High School Foundation board of directors. In 2015 she was named the state of Missouri’s Big Sister of the Year by Big Brothers Big Sisters and was the 2018 Fundraising Professional of the Year for the Ozarks Regional Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals MO.
